+-What types of payments are accepted at the Cashier’s Office?

+-Where is the Cashier’s Office located?

The Cashier’s Office is located in the Bhathal Student Services Center, located between the Chapman University School of Law and the Fred L. Barrera Parking structure: campus map.  The main Cashier's Office phone number is (714) 997-6838.

+-What hours is the Cashier’s Office open?

The Cashier's Office is open Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m..

+-Can I pay my tuition at the Cashier’s Office?

Payments in the form of cash, check, money order or cashier’s check may be made at the Cashier's Office.  Credit cards are not accepted for tuition or other fees charged to the student account.

Please note that the Cashier's Office does not have access to student account information. If you are not sure of the exact amount that needs to be paid, contact the Student Account Advisor in charge of your account.

+-What are Declining Balance Dollars?

Declining Balance Dollars are equivalent to money placed on your campus ID card which may be used for the following:

  • On Campus Dining
  • Print Credits
  • Laundry
  • Vending Machines
  • Book Stores
  • Argyros Gift Shop

Declining Balance dollars do not expire.

+-Where do I purchase Declining Balance Dollars?

Declining Balance Dollars may be purchased:

  • Online through Chapman University eAccounts. www.chapman.edu/eAccounts
  • At the Cashier’s Office
  • At one of three cash only deposit machines,  located in the Leathery Lobby, Henley Basement or the Davis laundry room

+-What is the difference between Panther Bucks and Declining Balance?

Panther Bucks are part of meal plans. They have expiration dates and are not refundable.

Declining balance is money you put on your Campus ID card that can be used for On Campus Dining, Print Credits, Laundry, Vending Machines, Book Store and Argyros Gift Shop. These funds do not expire.

If you have both Panther Bucks and Declining balance dollars on your card. The Panther Bucks will be used first for on campus dining.

+-What is eAccounts

The Chapman University eAccounts portal allows cardholders to review their account and deposit funds to their Declining Balance account. Cardholders can also view transaction history and print statements for either their Declining Balance, Panther Board Bucks and or Panther Commuter Bucks accounts. Guests may deposit funds to a cardholders' Declining Balance Account.  For more information, please visit www.chapman.edu/eAccounts

+-Where do I purchase a Commuter Meal Plan?

Commuter Meal Plans may be purchased at the Cashier’s Office.  For more information on what plans are available visit www.chapman.edu/dining

+-Where do I mail a tuition payment?

Please write the student ID number and name on the front of all checks.

+-How do I pay my students tuition online?

Your student must set you up as an Authorized User with your own unique login information.  Once you are set up as an Authorized user you can make a payment online with a regular checking or savings account.  Please reference the following link for ePay Tutorials.   The tutorials provide you and your student step by step instructions on setting up authorized users and making payments.

+-How do I pay my tuition with an International Wire transfer?

Chapman University offers two new international payment options.  Chapman University wire transfer partners may offer significant savings on the cost of traditional bank wires.  We encourage you to use the best payment option for you.  Tuition and deposit payments may be initiated and processed using peerTransfer or Tuition payments only may be made through the Chapman University ePay system.  For payment links, tutorials and more information, please visit www.chapman.edu/payments.  Always consult your bank for information on any additional fees, taxes or restrictions

+-How do I make a traditional bank wire payment?

You will need to provide your bank with the following wire transfer information.

Please include in the description section of the fund transfer: student name and student identification number.

+-Will the Cashier’s Office tell me the amount of my student account balance?

The Cashier's Office does not have access to student account information. If you are not sure of the exact amount that needs to be paid, contact the Student Account Advisor in charge of your account.

+-Can I cash a personal check at the Cashier’s Office?

Personal checks made payable to Chapman University and drawn on an established United States bank in an amount not to exceed $25.00 will be cashed for Chapman students and employees (i.e. staff, administration, and faculty)

Restrictions:
An individual may only cash up to one check per week.

The Cashier's Office may temporarily suspend check cashing services on those days in which check cashing funds are limited. On those days, a notice will be posted in the Cashier's Office window.

+-Is there an ATM machine on campus?

There is a Bank of America ATM located at the corner of Rush Gym facing the Attallah Piazza and a SchoolsFirst Credit Union ATM located at 633 W. Palm.

+-How do I purchase a parking permit?

Staff and faculty may purchase a permit at the Cashier’s Office or complete a form for payroll deduction. This form is available online or at public safety and may be turned in at public safety. 

Student permits are billed directly to student accounts.

Students, faculty and staff must register their car online.

+-Do I have to pay to register my bike?

Yes, all bicycles used, stored, parked, or operated on campus must be licensed with a valid California bicycle license.   The permits may be purchased at the Cashier’s Office. All unlicensed bikes on campus are subject to impoundment and/or citation.  A California bicycle license is valid for 3 years.

+-Where do I purchase a bike lock?

Public Safety sells a sturdy, good quality “Krypton” U-Lock.  This type of lock can also be purchased at a local bike shop.  Purchasing a bike lock through Public Safety may be done at the Cashier’s Office during regular business hours.

+-Can I pay my bike citation at the Cashier’s Office?

Yes, bike citations are paid at the Cashier’s Office.

+-Can I pay my parking ticket at the Cashier’s Office?

No, the Cashier's Office does not accept payment for parking tickets.  Campus parking tickets are handled through Public Safety and have the mailing instructions on the back of each ticket. The City of Orange parking tickets are handled through the City of Orange.

+-What are Declining Balance Dollars?

Law school transcripts may be purchased from the Cashier’s Office in person or over the phone at (714) 997-6616. The Law Registrar does not accept payment.

+-How do I purchase Official Transcripts?

Official transcripts must be ordered through www.getmytranscript.com

+-Can I pick up a copy of my Official Transcript?

An official sealed copy may be purchased AND picked up in person only by coming into the Cashier’s Office and walking the receipt to the Registrar.  The Registrar does not mail transcripts.  A mailed transcript may be requested at www.getmytranscript.com.

+-May I cash my student paycheck at the Cashier’s Office?

The Cashier's Office does not cash paychecks if they are over $25.00. The Cashier's Office cannot answer questions regarding hours paid, please contact your supervisor or the Payroll Office. Payroll can be reached via email at payroll@chapman.edu or phone (714) 997-6877.
