The tools below are designed to help you manage your club or organization. The most important one of all, though, is OrgSync!

OrgSync will help you to do the following:

  •  Recruit new members (accept new Join Requests from interested students)
  •  Track membership (contact information, attendance, etc.)
  •  Communicate with your members (mass texting, emails, announcements)
  •  Share files (pictures, video, applications, directions, etc.)
  •  Centralize your calendar of events (customizes for Exec Board vs general membership)
  •  Assign tasks (create to-do lists for annual events or daily tasks)

+-Club Standing

Clubs and organizations will be recognized as being in good standing, provisional, or not recognized based on the criteria listed below. Certain benefits and requirements pertain to each level of standing. Please contact your Student Organization Assistant (studentorgs@chapman.edu) for more information on where your club or organization stands.

Good Standing (need to meet all of the below)

  • Attendance at President’s Council* meeting by the President or a consistent Executive Board proxy. Club can miss only 1 meeting per semester.
  • Submission of all components of required end of semester report
  • Adhere to Student Conduct Code as an organization
  • Follow university policy outlined in Event Planning Guide

Provisional (if one or more criteria below is met)

  • Missing more than 1 President’s Council* meeting per semester
  • Missing any components of end of semester report
  • Organizational violation of Student Conduct Code
  • Violating university policy outlined in Event Planning Guide

Not Recognized (if one or more criteria below is met)

  • Missing 50% or more President’s Council* meetings per semester
  • Not submitting end of semester report
  • Repeated organizational violation of Student Conduct Code
  • Repeated violation of university policy outlined in Event Planning Guide

*Religious/Spiritual organizations should attend Interfaith Council in lieu of President’s Council

+-Student Events Advisory Committee

The Student Events Advisory Committee (SEAC) was created as a time-saving event planning resource for students. This committee is comprised of the representatives from the following offices:

SEAC is now held in the Student Union Stage Area every Friday from 12-1pm. Drop by to meet with representatives from the above offices and make your event planning easy breezy!

+-25Live Calendaring

25Live is Chapman’s online room scheduling system.  To access 25Live, your organization must first attend a 25Live training. Upon completion of the training, your organization will receive information to log into the system.  To sign up for a training, contact the Student Org Assistants at studentorgs@chapman.edu or in Argyros Forum 303.

+-Organization Funding

Clubs and organizations recognized by the Department of Student Engagement may apply for funds through the Student Government Association using the Student Org Funding Application.

+-Campus Publicity Options

The Marketing & Advertising Section of the Event Planning Guide includes all of the options, details, and policies about different forms of publicity on and around Chapman's campus:

To submit your event to the below venues, use 25Live to schedule and request resources, including publicity, for your event:

  •  Student Events Newsletter
  •  Wilsontron – Jumbotron screen on Wilson Field
  •  Online Events Calendar
  •  Digital signage – flat screen TVs in Student Union, Library, Beckman, etc.
  •  Media press releases
  •  And more…

+-End of Semester Report

All student organizations that are officially recognized by Chapman University must complete the Spring 2014 report on or before April 15, 2014 at 11:59 p.m. to be in good standing (and to be eligible for a Student Organization Award). Any questions about this report should be directed to your Student Organization Assistant at studentorgs@chapman.edu.
