While studying abroad in Spain, Chapman student Eli Aizenstat imagined a way to fill a large gap in the social networking space. Once back in California, he formed a company called Beatshare, Inc. with a mission to bring music into the heart of social communication.
Through the mobile app, users can create and share messages through 5-15 second music clips attached with a photo, video or text. Its’ intuitive, yet new User Interface, designed by top talent at The Art Center College of Design, provides Beatshare with a cutting edge User Experience.
Beatshare became part of Launch Labs, at Chapman University where Eli presented the company in the Keith A. Pham Business Plan Competition. He won first place, earning Beatshare the opportunity to represent Chapman University at the nationwide competition California Dreamin’, where Beatshare took second place out of over 1,000 entrants from leading Universities throughout the country.
Eli has been presenting Beatshare to multiple Angel groups in Southern California, including: Pasadena Angels, Harvard Business School Angels, Landmark Angels, Tech Coast Angels Central Coast, Los Angeles, San Diego and Orange County. There are over 20 million senior citizens over the age of 75 in the U.S. alone, and many of these seniors have little to no experience with technology. grandPad, Inc. was created to connect these seniors with their families by bridging the digital divide. The company started at the Chapman’s Launch Labs by Chapman student Isaac Lien and his father Scott Lien. Their main product, the grandPad, is a simple, easy-to-use tablet for senior citizens. The idea for grandPad came to Scott as part of his desire to stay connected with his family. Scott tried to do video calls, but existing services were frustrating, and overly-complicated for his family. Finding no better alternative, Scott and Isaac set out to create their own solution.
For the project, Isaac and Scott Lien recruited computer scientists from Chapman to help develop the grandPad. The company officially launched in August of 2014, and having outgrown their space at the incubator, moved to their own office in Orange, CA. They also have a customer-care and sales team based in Minnesota. grandPad sells their product direct to consumer on their site.

ModBargains was launched in January 2005 by co-founders Mike Brown & Ron Hay. As car enthusiasts modifying their own cars, they understood the car community and saw a demand for a new company that could provide a greater range of products along with competitive pricing and great customer service.
Today, ModBargains keeps substantial inventory in their warehouse, quality controls all of the items that come in from its suppliers, refuses to do business with manufacturers that do not provide customer service and quality products, and has a highly trained and experienced sales staff to answer any customer questions. In addition, ModBargains performs installations on customer vehicles at their shop in Southern California. This has provided extra experience and knowledge that ModBargains passes on to its customers.

Recently honored by the Kairos Society, Solé Bicycles was started by two best college friends, at USC, who became infatuated by fixed geared bicycles, or as they are common referred to, "fixies". They took the idea of the simple, elegant, and often expensive fixie and created a supremely designed, well built, simple, affordable bike. Solé Bicycles loves the idea of commuting by cycle, staying healthy and using our cars less, in combination of the rad fixie culture. Standley took over operations of the business from its original founders about a year ago. Today he runs it with Mick as creative director and Petraglia as head of marketing.
